Adam Idah's future has been a topic of discussion among Celtic fans for some time now. The Republic of Ireland international spent the second half of last season on loan at Parkhead from Norwich City and did better than most people had expected. He did not have a proven goalscoring record when he arrived but that did not stop him from finding the back of the net consistently for the Hoops.

Idah mostly played the role of an impact substitute for Celtic and he certainly did just that. He scored nine goals for the club and in big games as well.

Idah scored a fantastic goal in the 3-3 away draw at Ibrox and went one step better when he scored the winner in the final of the Scottish Cup against the Rangers at Hampden Park. Could that be his last contribution in a Celtic jersey?

There has been uncertainty surrounding the future of Idah this summer. Norwich City have a new manager in place and it looks like they want to have another look at the Irishman. Even if he was to leave, it might take a considerable transfer fee for Celtic to sign him after his impressive loan spell.

Amid all this, Idah posted a picture with James Forrest on his Instagram story. It was accompanied by the caption 'The bhoys in green' and a green heart emoji.

Perhaps it is also worth mentioning that Idah's display picture on Instagram is still of him in a Celtic shirt. And there has been speculation that the Irishman would love to return to Parkhead.

Now, it remains to be seen how things play out. Celtic definitely need to sign a striker this summer and the best-case scenario would be them bringing back Idah, this time on a permanent basis.
