Other possible goalkeepers for Celtic

Michael Zetterer

Another Bundesliga goalkeeper, Michael Zetterer at Werder Bremen, has been linked with Celtic. He stepped into their first-team this season and has impressed everybody with his displays.

Celtic are reported to have shown concrete interest in the player. His success in the Bundesliga this season could be enough to make him a serious candidate if available for the right transfer fee.

Patrick Pentz

Patrick Pentz has been on loan at Brondby IF from Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen. He would seem to suit the requirement of a ball-playing goalkeeper but his experience, especially at the top level, is perhaps lacking for the Hoops. His spells at big clubs have not exactly been impressive.

Danny Ward

Another potential bargain signing and one that Brendan Rodgers will know well. Danny Ward worked under his management at both Liverpool and Leicester City.

With just one year left on his deal with the Foxes now and aged 30, he may well be available for a decent transfer fee. Especially as he isn’t getting selected by Leicester City. Ward hasn't played for them this season at all. If signed, would he be good enough to be a Celtic starter though?

Etienne Vaessen

Etienne Vaessen is set to be available as a free agent this summer as his contract with RKC Waalwijk is running out. He is 28 and has worked his way up through the youth ranks to first-team captain there. The player is another Celtic are rumoured to hold an interest in.
