With the summer transfer window rolling forward, a lot of teams have been very active lately. The name of Celtic belongs on that list, although over the past week or so, it has been more about departures than arrivals. The fans want to see some signings being made as soon as possible. Out of the six signings they have made so far, only Kieran Tierney and Benjamin Nygren look like players who are ready to contribute to the team from the off.
Celtic need to bring in a replacement for Tierney as well. Greg Taylor has left at the end of his contract to jon PAOK, leaving the Hoops without options in that area of the pitch.
Flavio Nazinho of Cercle Brugge is someone who has been linked to a move to Celtic. In fact, some recent reports had suggested that the Hoops were closing in on the signing of the Portuguese U21 left-back. But it looks like the situation might not be as advanced as we had been led to believe.
As reported by Anthony Joseph, Celtic are exploring the conditions of a deal for Nazinho. But the club are yet to make an official offer, although they are keen to sign the Portuguese left-back,

So, it looks like, despite all the rumours, Celtic are yet to make an offer to sign Nazinho from Cercle Brugge. That does not mean that they won't do that in the future.\
Someone like Nazinho could be the perfect fit for the role Celtic are looking for. He is a youngster and will be able to learn a lot from someone like Tierney and perhaps in the long run, he can be a starter for the Hoops.
That being said, will someone like Nazinho be open to the idea of playing as a backup? Or will he want to go somewhere where he will be a regular starter immediately?
