It looks like signing a striker is on Celtic's shortlist for this summer transfer window. They have already made one addition up top, bringing in Callum Osmand from Fulham. He was a standout in Premier League 2 last season. Let's see if that form translates to the senior game. But that is not the end of the Hoops' search for a forward.

Right now, two strikers are being linked with Celtic quite heavily. They are Shin Yamada of Kawasaki Frontale and Giuseppe Ambrosino of Napoli. One would imagine that the Hoops plan to sign at least one of them.

In the case of Ambrosino, it looks like there are other clubs interested in the Napoli striker as well. In fact, an offer has already been made.

As reported by Orazio Accomando, there is a new push from Cremonese to sign Ambrosino. They have offered €3m, with a percentage on a future transfer.

In the recent past, it has been claimed that Ambrosino is keen on a move to Celtic. That could hand the Hoops a major advantage, although that is no guarantee that he would not end up at a team like Cremonese.

Let's see what the future holds for Ambrosino. He has proven himself to be a bright talent at the youth level, both for Napoli and Italy. But his goalscoring has not quite translated to senior football yet. He has already had multiple stints out on loan.

A club like Celtic might be perfect for him to make that jump. Just look at how things worked out for the likes of Moussa Dembele and Odsonne Edouard. Parkhead is a great place for young strikers to come and learn to find the back of the net on a consistent basis.
