Martin O'Neill has decided to change his goalkeeper for tonight's Europa League clash with Celta Vigo. Celtic welcome the Spanish club for their third league phase fixture having lost both of their first two in the competition.

The Bhoys know they need to win if they want to keep their chances of progressing firmly alive, and while they can still progress after a defeat this evening, it's going to be a real struggle to pull off.

But Celta, who are the favourites tonight, are in the same position having also lost their first two, including a cruel late defeat to Juventus last time out.

Celtic team confirmed

Celtic have gone with number two keeper Sam Johnstone for this evening's clash, with Viljami Sinisalo on the bench. The decision is likely purely a rotation decision and to give Johnstone another chance to impress.

The veteran has only had two chances so far, and the second of those was a disappointing clash against Rangers, but he needs a chance to prove that was simply a bad game.

Sinisalo struggled in the Europa League last week but put in a much better performance over the weekend during the win over Hearts.

Elsewhere, Callum Osmand has kept his place after scoring a brace over the weekend, and there are no surprises elsewhere.

The only thing to note is that Cameron Carter-Vickers and Alistair Johnston, who returned to training this week, are absent from the squad, with the Bhoys deciding not to risk either one just yet.

That's not a major surprise, especially in the case of Johnston, who has been out since August with a hamstring issue. Celtic will want to be careful with the right-back, and they can afford to be due to Colby Donovan playing well.

Dane Murray and Liam Scales start at centre-back, keeping in mind that Auston Trusty is absent due to the loss of his father this week.

Starting XI; Johnstone, Donovan, Scales, Murray, Tierney, McGregor, Baur, Nygren, Hassan, Osmand, DurĂ¡n.

Substitutes: Sinisalo, Lotomba, Hogh, McCowan, Tounekti, Sorensen, Oxlade-Chamberlain, McCardle, Forrest, Ralston, Haney, Kennedy.
