Celtic fans are pretty used to seeing key players leave. Just this season, Matt O'Riley left in the summer to join Brighton & Hove Albion, while Kyogo departed in January for Rennes. These were not rare instances either. And do not expect things to change in the future. If the right offer is on the table, the Hoops will be all ears; that is the transfer model of the club.

One of Celtic's players this season has been Nicolas Kuhn. The German winger spent time at Bayern Munich, Ajax and RB Leipzig while coming up through the youth ranks but failed to make the grade at any of those clubs at the senior level.

Celtic signed Kuhn from Rapid Vienna in the 2024 winter transfer window. He took some time to settle into his new team but has found tremendous form this season. Incidentally, he scored against two of his former teams in the Champions League this season. Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig.

Naturally, that has seen him being linked with a move away. The likes of Newcastle United, Everton, Eintracht Frankfurt and more are believed to be keeping an eye out on him. And he has dropped the biggest hint yet that the eventual path will see him leaving Glasgow.

As reported by Sportschau, Kuhn dreams of a contract in a top-five league and a national team appearance. He said:

"Let's see which comes first."

Of course, that should not be particularly surprising to any Celtic fan. A lot of players spent a few seasons at Parkhed, win a bunch of trophies and choose to take on a different challenge.

There have only been a select few who have chosen to spend a large portion of their careers at Celtic Park when opportunities have been available to play in a top-five European league. That is just the sad reality. So, Kuhn seems set to leave eventually as well.
