Newcastle United want €10 million Celtic transfer target
It is not often that Celtic get linked with players also wanted by some of the Premier League's best teams. That is a cause to be excited about the talent for sure but at the same time, it will only make it more difficult for the Hoops to get a deal done. Newcastle United seem to be the latest club to have joined a transfer race that is getting crowded.
The player we are talking about is Bazoumana Toure. The Ivorian plays for Hammarby in Sweden, a club he joined just earlier this year. But he has already made enough of an impression to draw the attention of some of Europe's biggest teams.
As reported by TBR Football, Newcastle United have joined the race to sign Toure. Up to a dozen British clubs were in attendance at Hammarby’s last game at Sirius at the weekend. Other than the Magpies, Aston Villa, Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United, Crystal Palace, Brighton & Hove Albion, Wolves, Sheffield United, Leeds United and Celtic were amongst those present to scout the Ivorian.
Toure did not disappoint those scouting him either. He scored twice and provided an assist in Hammarby's win against Sirius.

Toure seems to be a phenomenal talent and one set for the very top. It is believed that Hammarby would look for a transfer fee in the region of €10 million to part ways with him.
Such a fee would immediately make him one of the most expensive signings in Celtic history. The club have not been afraid to shell out similar figures recently though. Adam Idah and Arne Engels are examples from the latest summer window.
It remains to be seen if Celtic are able to win the race for Toure. If they do ahead of such Premier League clubs, it would have to be considered a major coup.
