The winter transfer window might have closed very recently but it looks like clubs are already putting plans in place for the summer. When it comes to Celtic, they are set to sign Kieran Tierney as a free agent with a pre-contract already in place. On the other hand, there is an expectation for them to try and make a move happen for Mathias Kvistgaarden of Brondby once again.
Some of the Celtic players could be on the move as well. This winter, we saw Kyogo Furuhashi, who had been the starter since the summer of 2021, leave for Rennes.
The next Celtic superstar who could be in line for a move is Nicolas Kuhn. The German winger is enjoying his breakout campaign at the top level and it looks like clubs around Europe are taking notice of his performances.
As reported by the Daily Mail (via The Scottish Sun), Newcastle United representatives were at Celtic Park for the Bayern Munich game. They were there to specifically watch Kuhn.
Newcastle United linked with in-form Celtic superstar
It is not hard to see why clubs like Newcastle United might be interested in Kuhn. He is not only delivering at the domestic level for Celtic but in the Champions League as well.
Kuhn almost gave Celtic the perfect start against Bayern Munich, as he found the back of the net inside the first minute of the game. Unfortunately, Adam Idah was adjudged to be in an offside position while blocking the view of Manuel Neuer, which is why the goal was chalked off.
If Kuhn had scored against his former team, it would have been the biggest goal of his career, that is for sure. And it remains to be seen if Celtic end up receiving some big transfer bids in the summer.
