It is safe to say that pretty much every game is a must-win for Celtic until they build up a strong enough lead in the Scottish Premiership. As things stand, they sit nine points ahead of the Rangers, who find themselves in 11th after the first five games of the campaign. But Hearts have kept up pace with the champions. Let's see how long they can do that for.
Of course, many fans will remember how well Aberdeen were doing at the start of last season. They even drew against Celtic and defeated the Rangers. But ultimately, their form did fade away over the course of the league campaign. Will the same happen with Hearts or are they the real deal?
As for Celtic, nothing really changes regardless. The aim is to win every game possible. Always. And their next one is against Hibernian.
Of course, the officials for the game are always a topic of discussion in Scottish football. Don Robertson will be the man with the whistle in this one. Interestingly, he is set to referee three of Celtic's first six league games as a result.
'Nervous' - Celtic fans unhappy with SFA announcement
Naturally, most fans believe that Robertson has been handed the whistle a bit too often when it comes to Celtic games, and there needs to be more variation when it comes to the refereeing appointments for the Hoops. As one fan wrote: "Right, so Don Robertson gets the whistle and McLean's on VAR. That combination always makes me a bit nervous, not gonna lie."
Robertson was also the referee for Celtic's Flag Day matchup against St Mirren and the recent Glasgow Derby at Ibrox, which ended in a goalless draw. There is no doubt that he is one of the most prominent referees in Scottish football but with 13 referees available to the FA, the selection needs to be shaken up a little bit.
One can only hope that the talk coming out of the game is not about the referees or the officiating and the players instead. Celtic are in a strong position going into the game and even though they could only manage a draw against Red Star in midweek, there have been positive signs around the Hoops.
Sebastian Tounekti looks like a good find. And Kelechi Iheanacho has exceeded a lot of expectations that were set for him when he was signed as a free agent after the close of the transfer window.
