Celtic star Kieran Tierney limped off during Scotland's narrow defeat to Morocco in their second World Cup outing. Steve Clarke's men had the chance to book their spot in the knockouts against a very good Morocco side, but they came up short.

Morocco scored within 60 seconds, and that proved to be the only goal of the game. Scotland created little, in truth, and Clarke will be disappointed with the attacking efforts of his team, although there was a questionable penalty shout that went against Scotland.

Scotland are now left needing some sort of result in their last game, but they won't know what is required going into the game. Clarke's men can progress with three points, keeping in mind that the final game is against Brazil, but it may well come down to goal difference to see whether they are one of the best eight third-placed teams. A draw would all-but guarantee they progress as a third-place team, while a win would see them leapfrog Brazil and finish in the top two.

Tierney injury scare

Celtic star Kieran Tierney limped off in the 60th minute, sparking fears of a muscular issue. The experienced left-back, who was playing left wing, has had countless muscular injuries over the years, and there will have been fears that his tournament was ended.

But after the game, Clarke confirmed that Tierney was dealing with cramp rather than any muscular damage. That will be a relief for Scotland ahead of that Brazil game, where Tierney and co will be up against dangerous wingers, and indeed for Celtic.

The Bhoys will not want to see the defender suffer any kind of injury this summer, given the potential for such an injury to keep him out for pre-season and beyond.

Gannon-Doak impresses

One player who did impress going forward for Scotland was Gannon-Doak, who was undoubtedly the biggest threat. Doak came on for Tierney, sparking a noticeable change in tempo.

Scotland limited Morocco well, but they did not do enough going forward, and Clarke will want to remedy that going forward. Although it may not be a wise thing to try it against a dangerous Brazil side, given goal difference could be key to getting the Tartan Army through to the next round.

Doak will likely start ahead of Tierney against Brazil given his performance against Morocco, and it might be wise, given there could be a risk of Tierney picking up an injury, and this could yet be a long tournament.
