Plenty of players have already left Celtic in the ongoing summer transfer window, with Nicolas Kuhn being the headline departure. The German winger was a starting winger for the Hoops last season as he registered 21 goals and 15 assists. That ended up earning him a move to Como FC, with Cesc Fabregas' ambitious club looking to challenge the big teams in Serie A.

Of course, Kuhn's departure weakened the ranks on the flanks at Celtic. That was followed by Rapid Vienna agreeing a deal for Marco Tilio. And now, another winger is on his way out of Parkhead, all but confirming it.

The player we are talking about is none other than Luis Palma. He is set to join Lech Poznan on loan with an option to buy and has already arrived in Poland.

Also, he has claimed that it was his decision to look elsewhere after speaking with Celtic. As reported by 67 Hail Hail, Palma said upon arriving in Poznan:

"I am very happy with the move.

“I’m delighted to be joining my new club and it was all done very quickly.

“I spoke with Celtic and it was my decision to look elsewhere.

“I don’t know too much about the Polish League, except that it’s a good league, with big stadiums and big clubs.

“I am going to learn a lot about football there."

It had become very clear last season that Palma was not a major part of Brendan Rodgers' plans. He spent the first half of the campaign at Parkhead but barely featured, even when he was doing well while on international duty with Honduras.

Ultimately, he was sent out on loan to Olympiacos and the Greek club had a buyout option in the deal as well. Having already spent a successful spell in Greece, with Aris FC, the expectation was that he would well upon returning and hopefully earn himself a permanent move in the process.

That did not happen. On the contrary, Palma struggled for chances at Olympiacos as well and when he was given opportunities, he was not particularly impressive. So, when the club decided not to sign him on a permanent basis, it was not really a surprise to anybody.

Now, Palma is headed to Poland. Interestingly, it is believed that he turned down offers from the English Championship, MLS, Mexico and Turkey in order to engineer this move. Let's wait and watch how successful it turns out to be.
