Celtic might have won a double last season and gotten into the Champions League knockout phase after more than a decade, but it looks like this could be a summer of change for the Hoops. They have been linked with plenty of players after seeing the team's form dip drastically in the second half of the 24/25 campaign. On the other hand, there are quite a few long-term first-team regulars who might be on their way out.
The likes of Daizen Maeda and Nicolas Kuhn have been linked with moves away recently. But in those scenarios, the club will bring in significant transfer fees, even if they end up leaving.
That won't be the case in the case of Greg Taylor though. He is out of contract this summer. Reports in Greece had emerged that he had agreed a deal with PAOK and now, they have been confirmed by the Scottish media as well, as it looks like a move is only a matter of time.
As reported by The Celtic Way, Taylor has agreed to join PAOK. He has agreed on personal terms and a two-year deal with a one-year option.
Massive Celtic transfer news as deal finally agreed
The move does come as a blow for Celtic. Brendan Rodgers had made it very clear that he wanted Taylor to remain at the club. His wish won't be granted.
Celtic are set to bring back Kieran Tierney this summer. But Taylor could have been the perfect cover option for the Scotsman.
Of course, the need for a reliable cover option became even more apparent this week. Tierney has pulled out of the Scotland national team squad due to an injury, right before he is set to return to Celtic. One can only hope that it is nothing serious and he is back to fitness soon.
