It is uncertain when Celtic will appoint their next permanent manager. Over the last few days, reports coming out of the media do suggest that the Hoops are getting closer to making an appointment.
Wilfried Nancy has been viewed as the frontrunner for the last several days. And now, it looks like Celtic are moving forward in that regard.
There have been reports that Nancy has been given permission to hold direct talks with Celtic. If an agreement can be reached, the club will then have to agree on a compensation fee with Columbus Crew to get a deal over the line.
Amid all this, a picture of Nancy has surfaced online. It was posted by The Post Cincy, who cover FC Cincinnati and the MLS. The French manager appears to be at an airport. And considering it emerged on the day that news broke that he had gotten permission to talk with Celtic, it might not be a coincidence.

If Celtic do end up appointing Nancy, it would divide the opinion of the fans for sure. On one hand, one can understand the doubts. He has no experience of managing in Europe and not many can deal with the pressure that comes with being a manager in Glasgow.
But on the other hand, he has proven to be a success story in the MLS and plays a great brand of football. There are comparisons being drawn with a certain Ange Postecoglou.
