Celtic currently hold a 9-point lead atop the Scottish Premiership table despite playing a game less than Aberdeen. The Dons had done a great job, keeping pace with the defending champions for a long time, but their form has been on a downward trajectory in recent weeks. It would not be a surprise if the Rangers overtake them soon.

One of those recent defeats came against Celtic. Brendan Rodgers' side went to Pittodrie Stadium and won 1-0. It was a tight game but the champions had enough in the tank to come through at the end.

That gave Celtic a commanding lead in the title race and many believe that it is already over. Of course, Philippe Clement has disagreed with that view.

On the other hand, Roy Keane, who has plenty of experience of winning leagues from his time captaining Manchester United, seems to believe that the league title race is over. As reported by 67 Hail Hail, when he was informed of Celtic's win over Aberdeen during a watchalong of Premier League matches on The Overlap, he said:

"That’s it, that’s the league over, isn’t it."

Of course, when it comes to things like this, it is all about the way you view the game. Of course, no one can guarantee that the title race is already over. Just last season, we saw Celtic let slip a significant lead and then the Rangers do the same later on in the campaign.

That being said, one would expect Celtic to win the league from a position like this, ninety-nine out of a hundred times. And it would be a major surprise if they even let this get close.

Brendan Rodgers will know that his side cannot afford to rest on their laurels despite their commanding lead though. He is another one who knows what it takes to win a league title race.
