It is no secret that Brendan Rodgers would like to see Greg Taylor remain at Celtic despite the impending arrival of Kieran Tierney this summer. The former Kilmarnock man is proven in the inverted role and it does not get much better when it comes to backup options. On the other hand, there is interest around Europe in his signature as well.

Celtic have made a fresh offer for Taylor to stay put in Glasgow. But, it has been reported in Greece that PAOK have offered him a significant increase on his current salary at Parkhead.

Now, Taylor has a decision to make on his future. And as it turns out, he has been given a deadline by PAOK as well.

As reported by Sport Dog (via CeltsAreHere), Taylor has been set a deadline. He will need to decide by the time PAOK’s first pre-season training camp begins at the end of June.

There are both pros and cons to Taylor staying at Celtic. On one hand, he is settled at Parkhead and considering Tierney's injury history, one would imagine that he will get his fair share of playing time over the course of the campaign as well.

On the other hand, though, there is very little chance that he will be first-choice ahead of Tierney. At 27 years of age, does he want to be the backup option?

Then again, Taylor has seen how things have turned out for several of his former teammates after they left Celtic. The grass did not prove to be green on the other side. So, does he want to take that risk and go to Greece, where he will have to start from square one? It is a tough decision to make, that is for sure.
