Luis Palma has revealed that he would love to get a second chance at Celtic, admitting that he really enjoyed his time there.
The winger is currently out on loan and hasn't made an appearance for the Hoops since January 2025. Across loan spells at Olympiacos and Lech Poznan, he has been trying to win another chance at Celtic, and with 25 appearances and six goals at Poznan so far, he may be in for a chance.
There were rumours that Wilfried Nancy would recall him during his disastrous tenure, but nothing came of that, and alas, he remained in Poland.
Now, with the player keen on a return to Glasgow, the next manager may choose to take a chance on him.
Speaking about Celtic to De La Rocha, Palma said: "I had a great time at Celtic. I really enjoyed it.
"I’d like a second chance; I’m still under contract with them, I’m still part of the club, and if they say I need to come back, I’ll do my very best. My dream is to return to a top-flight league; for me, the Scottish league was a top-flight league.
"I got to play in the Champions League, which is what every player wants to do – that dream hasn’t died yet. I want to feel that sensation of playing in a match like that again."
Should Celtic take Palma back?
Whether Celtic will take Palma back is unknown, but whether they should is an entirely different question. People are arguing either way.
Previously, Palma has admitted that he is happy at his loan club, but a permanent move seems unlikely, with the player valued at €4.5 million. That figure is more than double what Poznan spent on their record transfer, so a deal would be tricky on their part. However, they will still have the option to move forward with a permanent transfer.
So far, Palma has scored 10 goals in 48 appearances for the Hoops, contributing 10 assists across all competitions. He is contracted at Parkhead until 2028, so if Poznan can't afford him and the next manager wants him back, he could have one final chance to prove himself.
He is clearly keen, and although his stats are lacking, there could still be a player in there. Hopes were high when he first joined the club, but he just never hit the heights that were expected. If he really does feel this positively about Celtic, then maybe he's a winger worth giving a chance to.
