Rangers fans will meet a familiar face in the Europa League this week and it is someone they do not have too many fond memories of. Of course, we are talking about Ange Postecoglou. The Australian has a lot of good memories of Ibrox from his time as Celtic manager and will look to repeat the trick with Tottenham Hotspur.

Postecoglou needs to win this game. That is because his Tottenham Hotspur side are in the middle of a terrible run of form.

Of course, the 4-0 win against Manchester City was a brilliant result for them but unfortunately for Postecoglou, that performance has proven to be an anomaly. Tottenham Hotspur have largely struggled to get results in recent weeks.

Fortunately for Postecoglou, he knows quite well about what it takes to succeed at Ibrox. He has talked about his previous meetings with the Rangers leading up to this week's game. As reported by The National, he said:

"I think you know what kind of reception I'll get.

"I loved it. It was a different experience, mixed.

"I think the first one we were here we lost and then the next one when we only had 500-600 in the building we won and that was pretty special.

"But I've enjoyed all the games against Rangers, all the derbies, the big games here at Scotland obviously and usually very significant games. "

It remains to be seen how things turn out for Tottenham Hotspur at Ibrox in midweek. They are not only struggling for form at the moment but have plenty of injury issues as well. As a result, this won't be as straightforward of a game for them as it might look on paper to some.

That being said, the Rangers have not been particularly impressive this season either. Although, they have done quite well in Europe and Tottenham Hotspur will need to be careful of that.

Of course, there are no points for guessing which side Celtic will want to see win this week. After that, there is a Glasgow Derby to be played at the weekend as the two teams will meet in the final of the Scottish League Cup at Hampden Park.
