Most of the rumours surrounding Celtic at the moment are about potential incomings. But then, there are quite a few who could be heading for the exit door as well. It remains to be seen how things play out but if recent reports are accurate, then it looks like one of them has caught the eye of Leicester City.

Leicester City have been relegated from the Premier League and will be dropping straight down to the Championship. It feels like the gap in teams between the two top divisions has further widened in recent years and it has become difficult for promoted teams to stay up.

Leicester City will be hoping to earn promotion once again next season. And with them losing the experience and quality of club icon, Jamie Vardy, it looks like they have set their eyes on a Celtic player to bring that to the team.

As reported by Football Insider, Leicester City are eyeing a move for Jeffrey Schlupp. The Foxes view his experience and versatility as a key addition to their squad.

Schlupp is on loan at Celtic from Crystal Palace. His contract with the Eagles is set to run out this summer though and with no extension in sight, it looks like he is set to be available as a free agent.

Schlupp had impressed early on in his run at Celtic and there had been calls to sign him at the end of the season. But his form has faded away since then and such a move feels unlikely now.

That being said, it looks pretty clear that Greg Taylor will be leaving the club this summer. As a result, perhaps a move for Schlupp is not outside the realm of possibility, especially since he will be available on a free transfer.
