A number of Celtic players have been linked with moves away from the club heading into the summer transfer window. The one who has been drawing the most interest is Daizen Maeda, who has scored 33 goals and provided 11 assists so far this season. Leeds United are believed to be one of the clubs looking to sign the Japanese forward. But he is not the only Hoops superstar on the newly-promoted English team's radar.
Leeds United have won back promotion to the Premier League and will be looking to strengthen their squad to maintain that place in the English top division. In order to do that, it appears that two players other than Maeda have also made it to their radar.
As reported by TBR Football, Leeds United are showing interest in both Nicolas Kuhn and Cameron Carter-Vickers. Given that the club's owners are investing in Rangers, they are also taking an interest in Celtic and have watched the Scottish champions on a number of occasions since the start of the year.
Of course, it is hard to imagine that Celtic will let go of three of their most important players in the same transfer window. But if the right offer is on the table, anything can happen.
Leeds United want to sign three Celtic players this summer
Out of those three, Kuhn is the most likely to leave this summer. He was tremendous in the first half of the campaign but has struggled for form since the turn of the year. So, many believe that it is the right time to part ways with him, with his transfer value at its peak.
On the other hand, Carter-Vickers has spent four seasons with Celtic already. So, he might feel that it is time for a change and a return to the Premier League. But then, some view him as a future club captain if he stays on at Parkhead.
The reality of life at Celtic is that key players will leave. That being said, that does not make it any easier. And too many leaving at the same time will hurt the team, especially with the Rangers on the verge of a takeover and a potential statement summer window. So, let's see how the Hoops adjust.
