Over the last several weeks, there has been complete dissatisfaction among the Celtic supporters with how the club has been run. The board met with representatives from prominent fan groups recently and the hope was that the meeting would see things take a step in the right direction. Unfortunately, that has not happened. On the contrary, it has raised further questions.
It remains to be seen how the Celtic fans will react in the next game, when the ongoing international break comes to an end and they take on Dundee FC away from home. Their next home match is against Strum Graz in the Europa League.
For the most part, fans have not been happy with the merchandise that has come out in recent times. It is a reflection of their frustrations with the running of the club rather than the products that have been put out themselves. But most would be pretty happy with the plans in place for next season's home kit.
As reported by Footy Headlines, Celtic's 26-27 home kit will be designed to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the club's historic 1967 European Cup triumph. The standout feature will be the special crest, which will have an ornate design with the text '60º ANIVERSÁRIO', which is Portuguese for 60th Anniversary, as a nod to the final in Lisbon.
Leaked report that Celtic supporters will be delighted with
The expectation is that a golden colour will be used for the crest and the logos on the kit. And the design ideas look absolutely fantastic.
Of course, Celtic fans are always up for celebrating that triumph in the heat of Lisbon in 1967. It will forever remain the greatest achievement in the history of this football club.
The 60th anniversary of such a feat only comes around once. That being said, it should not take away from the issues at hand, as no solutions have been found for them so far.
