Joe Hart has admitted it felt 'really tasty' to be in the Broomloan stand with Celtic fans during the team's win over Rangers on penalties last month.

It was the first time that Hoops fans had taken a full stand at Ibrox in years, and what an occasion it was. Sadly, it was marred by the on-pitch scenes at the final whistle, but Hart is choosing to remember the game in a more positive light, as are most of us.

Speaking on Tubes on Golf Life, Hart said: "It’s electric. And do you know what? I experienced it as a fan recently. But it’s funny when you play in it, because you have to be so in control of what’s going on, and very aware.

"And I was an older player as well, so I wasn’t really feeding off the emotion. I was trying to… not play it down, but just play my game. But I would’ve loved to have experienced it as a young person!

"I couldn’t not [go as a fan]. Because I always look, as a goalie, I always look in that away end.

"I always feel the stadium. And I love the home fans that I’ve played for, they’ve been incredible, [but] I’ve always loved travelling with my away fans.

"I’ve always thought, ‘I would f***ing love to be in there.’ Especially when it’s going off, and it’s bouncing, and the support, and the people…

"And I just knew that I had to experience that. I wanted to experience it. So I went to the quarter-final recently, and it got really tasty.

"But it was amazing! It was amazing being around everyone, and seeing how everyone reacted, and seeing what the environment’s like, and the intensity, the police…

"It was like, ‘[I’ll have some of this!] I absolutely loved it, mate."

Hart showing his love for Celtic, even after retirement

Even after he has retired, Hart continues to be a brilliant asset to Celtic. He is often praising us and clearly has a deep love for the club. He repaid our faith in him during the time he played here under Ange Postecoglou, and what a legend he has become.

Thankfully, we gave him a decent performance that day at Ibrox and secured our place in the semi-final of the Scottish Cup. After the 6-2 victory over St Mirren at the weekend, Celtic have progressed to the final, and hopefully, Hart will be there to watch Martin O'Neill take on Neil Lennon's Dunfermline next month.
