Celtic have two more trophies to play for this season. But already, a lot of rumours and speculation is cropping up about moves the Hoops could end up making in the summer. There is a clear need to improve the squad if they want to continue being competitive at the Champions League level. At the same time, there are also quite a few who could head in the opposite direction.

Celtic have players out on loan right now. One who seems to be thriving is Gustaf Lagerbielke, who is at FC Twente this season.

Lagerbielke was signed from IF Elfsborg last season. But he was never able to establish himself in Celtic's first-team plans and it looked like a case of bad recruitment because his profile did not fit the style of football that Brendan Rodgers wanted his side to play.

Lagerbielke has done extremely well on loan at FC Twente though and established himself as a starter for the Eredivisie club. That has come with its rewards.

International announcement is great news for Celtic

Sweden have announced their squad for games this month against Luxembourg and Northern Ireland. Lagerbielke has been included.

This is good news for Celtic as well. Despite Lagerbielke's good form, it is unlikely that he has much of a future at Celtic. But being called up for Sweden will only increase the eyeballs that are on him and help the Hoops bring in higher transfer offers in the summer.

A permanent move to FC Twente could very well be on the cards. But one would imagine that he has caught the eye of other teams with his performances in the Eredivisie as well. Of course, all of this will boost Celtic's chances of finding him a new home in the summer and for a decent transfer fee as well.
