Former Crystal Palace player and manager Iain Dowie is backing Celtic to 'run away' with the Premiership title. The Hoops still have a 100% record in the league after coming back from behind against St Mirren over the weekend, and the Buddies went into that game in fine form, taking 10 points from their first four games.
Celtic look like a team that will not be stopped very often in the Premiership this season, and much of that is down to their front line, which looks particularly dangerous.
Camilo Duran, Haissem Hassan and Yang Hyun-jun have been in fine form, and that doesn't account for new signing Kasper Hogh, who looked good early on but has missed the last couple of weeks through injury, due to return this week.
Impressed by Duran and Hogh in particular, Dowie is backing Celtic to win the league comfortably this season, despite having been given a scare by Hearts last term.
"I get Hearts having confidence of challenging the big boys, but I have a feeling that Kasper Hogh and Camilo Duran are going to run away with it for Celtic," Dowie told Boyle Sports.
"Kasper Hogh got a hat-trick against Kilmarnock and Duran has scored six goals already. I like both of those players. Duran has really caught the eye lately, and Kasper Hogh clearly did well with that hat-trick."
Hogh's return will come at the right time for Celtic, with the Dane likely to at least make it back to the bench on Wednesday night, but he will certainly be back by the weekend barring any setbacks.
Yang is now away for the Asian Games until after the international break, so Martin O'Neill could do with getting Hogh back and covering for Yang's absence by shifting Duran back into a wide position, even if the Colombian has been doing well in a central area.
O'Neill also has Sebastian Tounekti he can call upon, but the winger has been inconsistent, particularly in the final third, so there will be some concern there, especially for the Europa League, which starts next week when the Hoops face Ferencvaros.
