With less than two weeks left in the summer transfer window, it looks like Celtic are looking to sign as many as five players before the September 1 deadline. One of those is a left-back. The Hoops have brought in Kieran Tierney this summer, as a free agent after his Arsenal contract ran out, but it is very clear that they need to sign a cover option for him as well.

Greg Taylor would have been perfect for that role but he decided to leave at the end of his own contract. And so far, the Hoops have not been able to sign a cover option.

They did bring in Hayato Inamura. But it looks like he is completely out of Brendan Rodgers' plans at the moment and likely to be sent out on loan before the window closes.

On the other hand, it looks like one of the left-backs Celtic had been linked with this summer is no longer available. Yes, he is set to make a move. And incidentally, he will be playing in green-and-white as well moving forward. But it will be for Real Betis.

'Here we go' - Real Betis agree €6m deal for Celtic-linked player

As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Real Betis have agreed a deal to sign Nazinho as their new left back from Cercle Brugge. The deal is in place for €6m plus add-ons and a sell-on clause.

Nazinho was being heavily linked with a move to Celtic last month. In fact, reports had even emerged in Belgium that he was on the verge of joining the Hoops and on his way to Parkhead.

But then, those rumours faded away completely. And if there were people that were hoping that they would crop back up late in the window, there is no chance left of that happening.
