'He’s done at Celtic' - Player slammed for performance vs Kairat

Many Celtic fans seem to believe that one player is done at Parkhead following his performance vs Kairat.

Well, there is a reason that Celtic struggled to qualify for the Champions League for so many years on the trot, until they got a spot in the competition as Premiership champions three seasons back. And the performance against Kairat Almaty at Parkhead must have reminded the fans about those days for sure.

It felt like a movie we have seen so many times in the past and nobody wanted a repeat. And yet it was here. Once again. Let's just hope that this team take their A-game to Kazakhstan and get a positive result.

With the rumours picking up this week about a move for Jamie Vardy, it felt like this was Adam Idah's last chance to prove that he is good enough to be a starter for Celtic. And it would be safe to say that he failed to take it.

Idah was absolutely ineffective in the first half. Of course, one can question the lack of service that came his way, but all things considered, the Irishman should be doing a lot better himself. Could this be the end of the road for him at Celtic? Many fans seem to believe so.

One fan was very clear about Idah's failure to make the starting spot his own as he wrote: "Idah is finished at Celtic, he had a great chance to be the main man and was dreadful in every game."

And he was not the only one to think so, as another Celtic fan added: "Scrap the Idah project it’s done he’s finished."

Another Celtic fan wrote about Idah's performance against Kairat: "Miles off the pace. Looks unfit and uninterested."

Idah was taken off at the break, as he was replaced by Yang Hyun-jun. That just goes on to show the lack of quality options on the bench, and at the club, right now. One fan wrote: "Idah subbed off at half-time. He’s done at Celtic."

Let's just say that Idah was not the only one who struggled against Kairat. The entire team should have done a lot better. That being said, Celtic do need a confident and effective striker to lead the line for them, if they are to win these important games. The Irishman simply does not seem to be up to the grade right now.
