Celtic have a tough task on their hands next week when they welcome Bayern Munich to Glasgow for the first leg of their UEFA Champions League knockout phase tie. The Bundesliga giants have a habit of winning big in this competition and the Hoops must be careful. They have already lost 7-1 to one German club already this season. Nobody wants to see a repeat of that.

If Celtic are have any chance of getting past Bayern Munich, they will have to make the most of the Parkhead atmosphere. The stadium will be rocking under the lights, as it could be another special night of European football.

Harry Kane is someone Celtic will need to stop next week. The Bayern Munich striker has been in blistering form this season. Not only has he scored six goals in the Champions League already in the ongoing campaign but he also has found the back of the net 19 times in 21 Bundesliga games.

Kane seems to be looking forward to playing in front of the Parkhead crowd. As reported by the Daily Record, the Bayern Munich superstar said:

"I have never played at Celtic Park. But I've heard a lot about the great atmosphere. It will be a challenging game for us."

Celtic have shown that they have the ability to make it difficult for top-level opposition. They drew 0-0 away in Italy against Atalanta, who are the second-highest scoring team in the Serie A this season.

So, we will need to see a tough defensive performance from Celtic. They cannot afford to concede a few early goals because then, there is only one way that game is going to go and a second leg might not even look necessary at full-time.

Celtic are being viewed as heavy underdogs going into this game. That is not a bad thing though. It gives them a chance to surprise the opposition. In recent years, they have done well against Real Madrid and Atletico at Parkhead. They won against RB Leipzig earlier this season. Do not count them out.
