Celtic will need everything to go their way if they are to have any chance of overturning a 2-1 deficit away at the Allianz Arena against Bayern Munich. The Hoops did give the German giants some troubles towards the end of the Parkhead game though and if they can make the right adjustments this week, it might be a closer contest than most are expecting.

On the other hand, it looks like Bayern Munich have plenty to be worried about heading into the second leg against Celtic. Harry Kane, who scored in the first leg at Parkhead and gave the Hoops defence plenty of troubles, appears to have picked up an injury.

As reported by ESPN, Kane missed Bayern Munich training ahead of the game against Celtic after suffering a facial injury in the 0-0 draw with Bayer Leverkusen. The Englishman suffered a knock to the face during the match but he did complete the full 90 minutes.

Bayern Munich boss Vincent Kompany said about his star striker Kane:

"It is nothing bad.

"We haven't had much time for recovery and sometimes you need an extra rest day.

"We will see how he [Kane] feels and make a decision then, but I expect it's nothing serious. There has not been much time for the squad to recover [since Saturday]."

Kane is an elite striker. There is no doubt about that. So, if he somehow ends up missing the game against Celtic, it would be a major blow for Bayern Munich and a relief for the Hoops defenders.

But considering he did complete the full 90 minutes in the game in which he picked up the injury, one would expect Kane to be available when Bayern Munich face Celtic at the Allianz Arena this week. Let's keep an eye out for this situation over the next couple of days.

Of course, Celtic cannot afford to waste any time thinking of which Bayern Munich player is injured and who is not. Their focus has to be on being at their very best when they take on Kompany's side in Germany. The rest will hopefully take care of itself.
