The match against Hearts away at Tynecastle Park was always going to be a tough one for Celtic. After all, Derek McInnes' side are the ones in form in Scottish football this season. As for the Hoops, they have struggled to play good football for a long time now and the results have even stopped coming recently.

As a result, there are question marks around the future of Brendan Rodgers. And it looks like they are only going to grow from here.

Now, everybody expected Hearts to give Celtic a tough time this weekend. But that did not mean that the Hoops were going to be played off the park.

Celtic have had their problems lately, and not just with their performances. It is important to acknowledge that. That being said, more was expected of a team, even with their injury problems, in a game of this magnitude.

There was one player in particular who drew the criticism of the fans for his performance against Hearts. And it was none other than Dane Murray.

Now, Murray would not be starting this game under normal circumstances. But Cameron Carter-Vickers has picked up a long-term injury that might keep him out for the next five months. On the other hand, Auston Trusty has had fitness issues of his own.

So, Rodgers had little other choice but to start Murray against Hearts and it is very clear that it is a decision that did not pay off for the Hoops. The youngster struggled to deal with the opposition and the occasion. As one fan wrote: "Murray has handed them the title, tear up his contract."

Well, it remains to be seen if Celtic can find a way to bounce back from this. As for Murray, this is a major setback as well.
