For months, there had been uncertainty surrounding Greg Taylor. With his contract running out, Celtic had not been able to agree an extension despite Brendan Rodgers' clear keenness to keep the left-back, who has thrived in the inverted role. Now, we finally appear to have an answer on where he will play his football next season.

Some weeks earlier, there had been rumours that Taylor had put pen to paper on a new deal with Celtic. They were clearly wide of the mark. Instead, it looks like he is heading to Greece.

Initially, there had been speculation about a move to Dinamo Zagreb but that led nowhere. In recent days, rumours had emerged about PAOK making a lucrative offer to Taylor, significantly higher than his salary at Celtic. And it appears that that has done the trick.

The long-running saga surrouning the Scottish left-back is finally over. As reported by Sport Dog, Taylor has reached a full agreement with PAOK both in terms of the financial aspect and the duration of his contract.

Taylor often did not get the credit that he deserved for his role in Celtic's success over the past four years. After a difficult debut campaign, he was able to establish himself as a starter the following year under the management of Ange Postecoglou and has not looked back since then.

Taylor might not be the flashiest player but he is a reliable presence at left-back. He also has the ability to rise to the occasion and come up with a goal from time-to-time.

Unfortunately, with Kieran Tierney set to return, Taylor was set to be the backup option at Celtic moving forward. It is easy to understand why he might not be keen to play that role in his prime.
