Celtic got back to winning ways in Europe with their 2-1 victory against Sturm Graz in the Europa League. The result will lift the mood of the supporters after the cloud that had been hanging over Parkhead following their weekend defeat at the hands of Dundee FC. It remains to be seen if they can use this as a launching pad for better results moving forward. Their next matchup is an important away trip to take on table toppers Hearts.

Coming back to last night's game, for a good while, it had looked like Celtic were headed for defeat. They went into the break 1-0 down and considering what we had seen if recent weeks, a lot of fans had lost hopes of a comeback by then.

Celtic's performance on the night was better though and they were ultimately rewarded with a couple of goals after the hour mark. Liam Scales and Benjamin Nygren found the back of the net to put Brendan Rodgers' side ahead and then, they were able to hold on to seal victory.

It was a phenomenal result. One that gives the fans hope that Brendan Rodgers is capable of turning things around with this team.

'Goosebump' - What Austrian media are saying about Celtic fans

The Austrian media appears to have been impressed with the atmosphere at Parkhead on the night. As reported by the Daily Record, Krone wrote:

"Even before kickoff, the Celtic fans created a goosebump-inducing atmosphere to the tunes of 'You'll Never Walk Alone.' Around 2,500 traveling Sturm fans more than held their own in the packed Celtic Park, which has a capacity of 60,000."

Well, it was not exactly a packed Celtic Park. There were about 48,000 fans in attendance. But still, it was better than the SC Braga game.

The reality is that fans have been unhappy with how things have been run at Celtic and want change. It remains to be seen if that ends up coming or not. For now, it is important to back the team in a time of need. They did just that against Sturm Graz.
