Celtic have made a fantastic start to the season. They are leading the Premiership and are also in the final of the Scottish League Cup, where they will take on the Rangers. On the other hand, Brendan Rodgers' side have impressed in Europe as well. After four games, they have seven points in the UEFA Champions League with wins coming against RB Leipzig and Slovan Bratislava.

One of the major reasons behind their great start to the season has been the form of Nicolas Kuhn. The German winger has 21 goal contributions in 17 appearances in this campaign until now.

With Matt O'Riley leaving in the summer, Celtic needed to find another talisman. Kuhn has seamlessly, and unexpectedly, slot himself into that role.

As a result, he is already being linked with a move away from Celtic. But hopefully, that will not happen anytime soon. On the other hand, he seems to be on the radar of the German national team as well, as a call up might not be far away if Kuhn keeps on performing like this.

As reported by the Daily Record, Germany national team manager, Julian Nagelsmann, said:

"Kühn is also a good player with a lot of desire. He’s someone we’re keeping an eye on."

Of course, if Kuhn does end up getting a call from the German national team, that should only raise his transfer value further. At the moment though, Celtic should not even consider the possibility of parting ways with the winger anytime soon.

Kuhn is performing at the highest level right now. Many fans are starting to claim that he is even better than Jota at the top of his game. And it is hard to argue against them, considering what we are seeing right now.

One thing that Jota did is rise up to the big occasions. Let's see if Kuhn can make the difference against the Rangers in the upcoming League Cup final next month.
