Celtic fans were left disappointed with their last result in the Champions League as they could only manage a draw at home against Club Brugge. Cameron Carter-Vickers' horror own goal proved to be a costly one for the hosts on the night. As a result, the pressure is now on Brendan Rodgers' side to get a result away when they take on Dinamo Zagreb next week.

Celtic are in a decent position right now. But their qualification for the next phase of the competition is far from certain. They still need to get a result or two.

On paper, the game against Dinamo Zagreb is one where they might be able to get something positive. Of course, we could have said the same thing about the Club Brugge one and there are no easy games at this level.

Gennaro Gattuso, formerly of Rangers, is currently managing in Croatia with Hajduk Split. And he recently gave his thoughts on Dinamo Zagreb, which might interest Celtic fans ahead of their upcoming trip.

Gennaro Gattuso makes bold claim before Celtic game

As reported by 67 Hail Hail, Gattuso told Sportnet when it was put to him that this is the worst Dinamo Zagreb team there has ever been:

"I wouldn’t agree that this is the worst Dinamo, they are very good, and a lot of their players are injured.

“This is a good Dinamo team and no matter what, I still think they are the best team in the league. If their team is so bad, as you say, they wouldn’t be able to win the Champions League, and the difference between the Champions League and our league is huge.

“There are players who are worth 20 million euros each, they have a lot of young and quality players, what are we talking about?"

It is safe to say that this will not be an easy game for Celtic, especially away from Parkhead. Dinamo Zagreb have seven points in the Champions League this season so far.

Simply put, they are getting positive results at the Champions League level. So, how can this be a bad team? Maybe results are not going their way domestically but when it comes to Europe, they cannot have too many complaints about how things have gone.

That being said, Celtic should be confident in their own quality as well. They have defeated RB Leipzig this season already while drawing away against Atalanta.
