Celtic continue to limp through the summer transfer window despite the ever-present promise of their business speeding up. The Bhoys have spent £5.5million to sign Camilo Duran, but they are yet to follow up on that deal with further recruits.
Those new signings will arrive at some point, and they might arrive en masse, but fans are getting mightily frustrated in the meantime. Elsewhere, plenty of business is being done around the Scottish Premiership, and here we run through the latest news.
Taylor open to Celtic return
Former Celtic full-back Greg Taylor is not ruling out a return to Parkhead when he leaves PAOK in Greece. Speaking to Charlie Mulgrew on the 'Pitch to Par' show, he said: "I’ve got two years left on my contract in Greece, I’d love to be a success out there. But if that didn’t materialise, I’d be open to anything. I’ve moved abroad now, I’ve enjoyed that aspect of it.
“I loved playing in Scotland. So honestly, who knows in a career? You know it can change like that, both ways. But I would love to make a success of it in Greece and see where that takes me.”
Mulgrew asked the defender about a return to Celtic, to which Taylor replied: "In football, you never say never with anything. I think I’d be open to everything."
Rangers dealt Ferguson blow
Rangers' chances of landing Lewis Ferguson this summer appear to have taken a blow, with Bologna's assistant, Andrea Tarozzi, saying: "This is more of a question for the coach, but I can tell you that Ferguson is a very important player for us.
"I can write that in capital letters. He's a fundamental element. We know his importance to Bologna after what he's done in recent years. I'm sure the coach will find the best position for him to showcase his qualities."
Ferguson carries a huge asking price this summer, but Rangers are reportedly interested in offering in-demand star Connor Barron as a makeweight.
Hearts pushing to land new goalkeeper
Hearts are said to be in talks over the permanent signing of goalkeeper Beau Reus, who recently left Belgian side Beveren. Reus is said to be a target for Werder Bremen and Malaga this summer, but Hearts are pushing ahead with talks.
That's according to the Edinburgh Evening News, who say talks are ongoing. Reus stands at 6ft6" and has been a reliable player for Beveren, making 121 league appearances, and he helped them win the second division title last season.
