Celtic appear to be heading towards a busier January transfer window than most would have expected, considering their strong position right now. The Hoops have already clinched the first trophy of the season in the form of the Scottish League Cup, are leading the Premiership by 14 points and have a genuine chance of making it to the next phase of the Champions League.

That being said, there are always areas where a team can be improved. On the other hand, there are players who could head in the opposite direction in search of playing time, having failed to get enough opportunities in Brendan Rodgers' side.

One name that definitely falls under that category is that of Odin Thiago Holm. Once considered the 'next Martin Odegaard', he is now the sixth-choice midfield option at Celtic, if that.

It is the right time to move for sure. And it looks like the MLS could prove to be the next step for Holm as he looks to get his career back on track.

As reported by The Scottish Sun, Odin Thiago Holm is poised to move to the MLS on loan. LAFC are among the clubs keen on a deal for the 21-year-old.

Holm was considered an elite talent back in his homeland and it was considered as a major coup when Celtic were able to sign him in the summer of 2023. A year-and-a-half on and he has barely featured for the Hoops, and it is clearly time for a change of scenery.

Of course, Holm leaving would not come as a major blow for Celtic, considering his limited role in the squad. On the other hand, it would open up a spot for a new arrival with quite a few midfielders being linked with a Parkhead switch recently.
