Former Celtic winger Daniel Arzani has been speaking after he scored to help Ferencvaros to a big Europa League win over his old club.
Arzani spent time on loan with Celtic, but his spell was curtailed by a serious knee injury. The winger has since spent time in Australia, but these days, he is plying his trade in Hungary with Ferencvaros, who beat Celtic 3-1 at Parkhead on Thursday night.
Arzani scored a superb third, firing into the far top corner from outside the box. It was a big moment for Arzani, who didn't have enough of an opportunity to score at Parkhead during his short time at the club due to the injury.
"I'm happy that I was able to experience what I didn't know about here before. For me, it was an amazing occasion," the winger said after the game.
"We played some high quality football and the team spirit was great. I am just so happy to have been a part of it."
Asked about how Ferencvaros went about the game, he added: "The game went exactly as we expected because we were very well prepared tactically. We expected Celtic to attack us from kick off and they did.
"We knew after their defeat at the weekend, everything was on the line for them. But we held them off and the pressure eased after that."
Celtic should be concerned by how obvious they are
The prediction that Celtic would come out of the gates fast is almost a given, but the part of the quotes about the Bhoys effectively running out of gas is a concern.
Ferencvaros knew that all they had to do was hold out for the first phase of the game and then strike when Celtic's performance and energy began to dip.
That was the point in the game when Martin O'Neill should have shut up shop, just for five to 10 minutes while his side recovered. Celtic did not do that, and there was a period in the game leading up to the first goal, and for 10 minutes after it, where they were repeatedly getting caught.
