Sometimes, signings that go under the radar can prove to be the best ones. Of course, Celtic have been on the receiving end of heavy criticism for their business in the recent summer transfer window. That being said, it is possible that they may have found someone who is even better than their highest-paid player.
Celtic's marquee signing of the summer was Kieran Tierney. He was brought in after a six-year spell at Arsenal. And it was believed that the would stroll the Premiership when fit and available.
Unfortunately, so far, we have not seen that happen. This does not look like the Tierney of old. Instead, it looks like a player who has dealt with a series of injury problems over the course of the last six years and they have taken a toll on his game.
On the other hand, it looks like some Celtic fans believe that Marcelo Saracchi, who has arrived on loan from Boca Juniors, is actually playing better right now than Tierney. One wrote: "The reserve left back outshining the highest paid player on the country again. Maybe there's finally a Greg Taylor replacement in the building."

Of course, that is a bold statement. Yes, Saracchi was very good against Hibernian for sure. But Tierney is a proven name. And while he is going through a tough phase right now, that does not mean that he will never rediscover his best form.
That being said, it was not a view in a vacuum from just one fan. A lot of supporters seem to be of the same belief. Another said: "An upgrade on KT a far more polished footballer and much more ability on the ball."
Of course, there are also those who view Saracchi as an alternative rather than the replacement for Tierney, as one fan said: "A very good alternative to Tierney, absolute bags of energy and zero fear, everything we wanted Bernabei to be."
There is no doubt that Saracchi is proving to be a pretty good addition to this Celtic team. That being said, some of these takes seem to be a bit over the top if you ask us. Tierney is still a phenomenal talent and just needs to get up to speed. He has not played regular football in a while, so it is taking him some time.
