It is no secret that Wilfried Nancy is the favourite to end up in the Parkhead hot seat. The timing of that move still remains up in the air. Will he be in charge of the Hoops by the time the international break comes to an end? We are not sure.

Of course, it depends on whether you want to see Nancy get the Celtic job or not. It has certainly divided the opinion of the fanbase. On one hand, nobody can deny the success that he has enjoyed in the United States and Canada. But on the other hand, that is no guarantee that it will work at Parkhead. He has no experience of managing under the pressure of Glasgow or even European football as a whole for that matter.
Fabrizio Romano has dropped an update on the situation though, as he became the latest source to confirm that Nancy was the favourite for the role. As reported by GIVEMESPORT, he said when asked if the Frenchman was the most likely to get the Celtic job:
"Yes he is now. There are talks ongoing with Celtic."

Well, it looks like Celtic have made their choice when it comes to the next manager. And it might not be the popular one.
One has to wonder if this is the right path to follow at this time. There already seems to be a divide between the club and the fans.
If this Nancy appointment does not work out, that divide will only grow. So, they are taking a risk here for sure.
