The Dutch international is believed to have agreed personal terms in what is great news for Celtic as well.

There is no doubt that Celtic will be looking to bring in some players in the January transfer window. The club seem intent on making sure that Wilfried Nancy turns out to be a success, having taken a risky decision in appointing the inexperienced Frenchman. That move has come under heavy scrutiny already as he ended up losing his first four games in charge.

The win at the weekend against Aberdeen did give Nancy some relief. And he will surely be hoping that he is backed in January with the right personnel for the style of football that he is trying to implement with a paper-thin squad at the moment.

Signing a striker is necessary this January. Evan Ferguson is someone who has been heavily linked with a move once again, especially as it looks like the club are no longer interested in Louis Munteanu.

Ferguson is currently out on loan at AS Roma. But it looks like the Italian club are already lining up a move for a Dutch international forward, and if that goes through, it could result in the Irishman's stint being cut short and him being sent back to Brighton & Hove Albion in the middle of the season.

As reported by Gazzetta dello Sport, Joshua Zirkzee has already found an agreement with Roma thanks to the strong desire to return to Italy. Now they are working on the timing, but even in this case, Manchester United seem to have softened and may not wait for the end of the African Cup of Nations.

Zirkzee was considered a top talent until his move to Manchester United. He has failed to deliver at Old Trafford and might already be looking for an exit.

Of course, if the move to AS Roma does end up happening, it could help Celtic sign Ferguson. Let's see if that happens or not.
