'Dream of as a kid' - Nicolas Kuhn sends message to Celtic fans

There is no stopping Nicolas Kuhn at the moment. The German winger has been in world-class form this season. After his heroics against RB Leipzig in midweek, he was at it again this weekend. He first assisted Callum McGregor before scoring one himself in Celtic's 2-0 away win against Kilmarnock to remain top of the Scottish Premiership.

That means that Kuhn now has 21 goal contibutions in 17 appearances this season. Some are hailing him as better than Jota already and it might be hard to argue against that notion right now.

Jota might have performed for a longer stretch of time, but we never saw this kind of form for him. It is like Kuhn is finally fulfilling the potential which saw him spend time at clubs like Bayern Munich, Ajax and RB Leipzig.

Many saw Kuhn as just another project signing when he was brought in from Rapid Vienna last January. But it is proving to be a remarkable bit of recruitment for sure.

Unsurprisingly, Celtic fans have been singing the praises of the winger. While speaking on the club's official YouTube channel after the game, when asked about the supporters' 'Super Nicolas Kuhn' song, he said:

"Every time I come on the pitch and hear the song, it’s really nice. It’s a moment you dream of as a kid, and I’m really, really grateful."

Right now, Kuhn is proving himself to be the kind of player that Celtic fans dream of. He is decisive, consistent and capable of performing in big games, as he showed against RB Leipzig in midweek.

The leap that Kuhn has made since last season is truly remarkable. While he had done a decent job after arriving in the second half of the previous campaign, there is no comparison between then and now. Of course, it is important that he keeps on performing like this. If he does, the sky is the limit. In fact, there might not be one.
