The Celtic squad looks set to be very different next season. The Hoops have already brought in six fresh faces, including Kieran Tierney and Benjamin Nygren, who might be starters moving forward. On the other hand, there have been plenty of moves in the opposite direction, with those both important and on the fringes, heading for the exit door.

While some exits make sense, others have left people confused. The situation surrounding Marco Tilio might fall between both those categories.

As reported by Florian Plettenberg, Tilio to SK Rapid is considered a done deal. It’s a loan with an obligation to buy, which becomes valid after 20 starts in competitive matches. The fee upon activation will be €1.5 million. There will be a €400k loan fee.

Tilio is a full Australian international and was a standout for Melbourne City FC while away on loan, scoring five goals and a further five assists. With Nicolas Kuhn leaving, there were some expectations that he would get some chances next season. But now, it looks like Celtic are ready to part with another winger, furhter weakening their ranks.

Tilio was one of the first signings Celtic made during Brendan Rodgers' second stint as manager at Parkhead. But he never really found his footing in Glasgow.

After only making a couple of appearances, he was sent back to Melbourne City FC on loan. He spent last season there as well. Now, it looks like he is set for a change of scenery, although he might never play for Celtic again.

With Kuhn already away, Tilio on his way out and Yang Hyun-jun being linked with a move as well, Celtic will need to sign multiple wingers this summer. Hopefully, those moves are made as soon as possible.
