Wilfried Nancy has not been announced as the new manager of Celtic yet. But it is only believed to be a matter of time before that becomes official. At the same time, one would imagine that the Frenchman would be eager to reshape the current squad in his own vision, having witnessed how thin the depth is in several positions across the pitch.
Celtic could do with more options in multiple positions. One of them is on the flanks, especially if Daizen Maeda ends up leaving the club on a permanent basis, having seen a move blocked in the summer.
Of course, there is the possibility that Celtic could look to sign new players. But at the same time, there have also been some reports in the media suggesting at the possibiity of Luis Palma being recalled from his loan spell at Polish club Lech Poznan.
Palma has scored six goals and provided a further six assists for the Polish club so far. And as reported by Sportodwy Poznan (via Daily Record), Lech Poznan have completely shut down talk of the two clubs terminating the loan agreement.
Decision already confirmed on Celtic return in January
It is not hard to see why Lech Poznan might not be open to the idea of Palma returning to Celtic in the middle of the season. He has been very good for them.
On top of that, Lech Poznan are believed to hold a buyout clause as part of the deal as well. So, they could very well end up signing Palma on a permanent basis at the end of the campaign.
Of course, someone like Palma could prove to be a decent addition for Celtic if he did return. While he faced a ton of criticism late in his time with the club, one cannot forget how well he did during the first few months with the Hoops.
