Celtic have quite a few options in the central defensive area right now. Cameron Carter-Vickers is the first pick there and is widely considered the Hoops' best defender. Auston Trusty has settled into his role as well, following a shaky start at Parkhead. And while Liam Scales has not played much lately, we all know what he is capable of at his best.

It is hard to break into the starting XI as a result. One player who barely got chances last season despite being signed during the Brendan Rodgers era was Gustaf Lagerbielke.

The Swede did not seem to fit Rodgers' style of football. As a result, it came as a surprise to nobody when he was sent out on loan in the summer, joining Dutch Eredivisie side FC Twente.

Lagerbielke has done a brilliant job since joining FC Twente though. He has established himself as a regular starter for the Dutch side and seems to be thriving at his loan club. As a result, there is speculation about a summer exit.

FC Twente might try to sign Lagerbielke in the summer, thanks to his great form. On the other hand, one would think that other clubs have taken notice of his performances as well and would be interested in signing him. That is good news for Celtic and will only raise the Swede's transfer value.

So, what kind of a transfer fee will it take to sign Lagerbielke from Celtic in the summer? As reported by Twente Insite, former Ajax scout Hans van der Zee told 1Twente VoetbalTijd:

"They paid 3.5 million for him. I don't think he did well at Celtic, otherwise they wouldn't loan him out. You won't get him for less than three million."

That is a very realistic expectation for a centre-back who is doing well in the Eredivisie right now. One would expect Celtic to receive transfer offers for the Swede in the summer, that is for sure.
