It has been claimed that Celtic will try to sign two wingers before the summer transfer window comes to an end. And they continue to be linked with a couple of names who appear to have been on their radar for a while. They are Michel-Ange Balikwisha and Jakob Breum. But in recent weeks, the name of Calvin Stengs has been doing the rounds of the rumour mill as well. So, it might be worth keeping an eye out on.

Stengs is a full Dutch international and has even scored three times for his national team. He is currently at Feyenoord but it has been suggested that the club are open to parting ways with him for the right offer.

That offer is not expected to be astronomical one either. The belief is that a figure around €8 million would be enough to convince Feyenoord to part ways with the winger. But there is still one stumbling block to any deal.

As reported by Sky Sports, Celtic have made an enquiry for the Netherlands international. But they are unlikely to make a move for Stengs unless they secure Champions League football, as it would require a sizeable fee and big wages to sign him.

Well, Celtic's chances of making it to the Champions League are hanging by a thread right now. They failed to win their home leg against Kairat.

It remains to be seen if they can go to Kazakhstan and get a win. Their away record in Europe is nothing to write home about though.

So, let's see how the return leg plays out. If Celtic can pull it off, there is a chance that they could make a move for Stengs and bring him to Parkhead this summer.
