Admittedly, Celtic did not have a great recent record against the Rangers going into last weekend's Glasgow Derby. On top of that, Brendan Rodgers had resigned as manager just days earlier, leaving the Hoops in a terrible spot. Martin O'Neill and Shaun Maloney were brought in to take interim charge of the team.

So, most Celtic fans would have been nervous going into the Glasgow Derby. And there was enough reason to be so.

The Hoops did manage to win at the weekend, though, as a 3-1 victory against the Rangers saw them book their place in the final of the Scottish League Cup. On top of that, it is very clear that not much has changed about the mentality at Ibrox despite their change in ownership over the summer.

Coming out of the Glasgow Derby, there was once again talk of the Rangers feeling hard done by. All the talk was about how Auston Trusty had not been sent off. It does not matter which side of the fence you sit on when it comes to that incident. But why not mention the penalty that Danny Rohl's side were handed on the day? Or the Benjamin Nygren goal that was chalked off? There were no lack of controversial decisions on the day.

Rohl has been at Ibrox only a few weeks. But you'd think he was at the club for years when you read his comments about the incident at Hampden Park. As reported by the BBC, the Rangers manager said about teh potential red card incident involving Trusty:

"I think this is maybe for me a little bit too difficult to understand.

"For me, it doesn't matter if it's from the side or the front."

To be honest, Celtic should be delighted with Rohl's comments. It just shows that things are pretty much the same at Ibrox.

Every time the Rangers lose a Glasgow Derby, it seems to be down to some refereeing decision if you ask them. Well, long may that continue.
