Somehow, Celtic have managed to complicate what should have been a simple transfer window for the club. The Hoops green-lit the exit of Kyogo Furuhashi in the middle of the season but have failed to bring in a replacement striker so far. Also, Alex Valle's loan deal was cut short as he has now joined Como, leaving Greg Taylor as the only genuine option at left-back.

It remains to be seen if Celtic are able to make any signing before the transfer window closes. It is not ideal that they have let this drag on until the deadline day though.

The club had shown a drastic change in their approach to transfers under the management of Ange Postecoglou. During those two seasons, in a refreshing change, they moved swiftly and got deals done early on in transfer windows. Now, it is back to business as usual.

Signing another striker and a left-back might be the call of the hour for Celtic. But it looks like a midfielder is on their radar as well.

Celtic weighing up deadline day bid for midfielder

As reported by The Scottish Sun, Celtic could make a fresh deadline day bid for Motherwell's Lennon Miller. The Hoops have already had an offer rejected for him this month.

Miller is considered by many as the biggest talent in Scottish football right now. At 18 years of age, he has already captained Motherwell on a few occasions and put in standout performances against both Celtic and the Rangers.

It is easy to understand why Celtic might be interested in signing him, especially with more clubs expected to be involved in the race for his signature when the summer comes around. But considering how inefficient the Hoops have been with their transfer activity lately, do not be surprised if nothing materialised before the window closes.
