It has been pretty evident that goalkeeper has become an area of weakness for Celtic in recent times. The club brought in Kasper Schmeichel, someone even older than Joe Hart, to replace the retiring Englishman. Early on, the Danish legend certainly did well. But his performances since the second half of last season have been shaky to say the least.

A large section of the fanbase wants to see Schmeichel be dropped in favour of Viljami Sinisalo. For now, Brendan Rodgers has stuck with the experienced Danish international in goal. That being said, it is hard to imagine that he will be handed another extension on the basis of his recent performances.

So, Celtic could find themselves in search of a goalkeeper next summer, especially if they believe that Sinisalo is not good enough to be the number one. We certainly like the youngster but the sample size of his performances is very small.

On the other hand, it looks like the Scottish champions are scouting goalkeepers at the moment. As reported by 67 Hail Hail, Feyenoord’s Justin Bijlow is someone that Celtic are watching.

Biljow is currently not the number one for Feyenoord. He has made eight appearances for the Netherlands national team. So, there is little doubt about his quality.

Someone like him could be a decent addition for Celtic. And it is worth mentioning that his current contract runs out in the summer and it is unlikely that he will sign an extension.

So, let's see what the future holds for the Dutch goalkeeper and whether Celtic do end up making a serious push to sign him or not. He is not the only keeper to have been linked with the Hoops over the last few weeks though.
