Celtic are back in Premiership action on Sunday when they face Hearts at home on the back of another forgettable Europa League outing. The Bhoys lost 4-1 to Benfica to make it two defeats from two, but they were successful in their last Premiership outing, beating Motherwell.
Hearts are currently in third place, thrashing St Mirren last time out in the league, and they drew with Nordsjaelland in the Conference League during the week. This will be Hearts' first trip back to Celtic Park since their heartbreaking final day defeat on the last day of last season, when they missed out on the title.
Here we round up the latest injury news surrounding both teams.
Eduardo Ageu - Out
Ageu has suffered a fresh setback. Hearts boss Vrancken has said: “It’s a pity for him and for the team and for us in general, because he showed his qualities on Saturday. Also after the game he felt good. Two days after we talked and he was explaining how good he felt and how eager he was to play the games in Europe. It’s a blow for him, but again you have to cope with it.
Tom Renaud - Out
Renaud is epxected to remain out with an ankle issue he has been dealing with.
Blair Spittal - Out
Spittal is expected to be out until the end of the month with a shin issue.
Craig Halkett - Out
Halkett remains out, but he is stepping up his rebah. He told TNT Sports this week: "My rehab’s going really well. I’m five months post-op this week and I’ve just started back running. The physios are happy, the surgeon is happy, so I’ve got an exciting couple of months ahead to get back to full fitness."
Cameron Carter-Vickers - Doubt
Carter-Vickers has missed the last two games with a muscular strain. He has a chance here, but Celtic may not want to take the risk.
Landon Emenalo - Fit
Emenalo has been cleared to make his debut after spending over a month out upon his arrival at the club.
Joel van den Berg - Out
Van den Berg is expected to be a couple of weeks away from returning from an ankle issue.
Yang Hyun-jun - Doubt
Yang is working his way back to full fitness after picking up a hamstring issue he picked up during the Asian Games. He could be in contention here, but it is unclear.
