Martin O'Neill will likely have to confront the rotation question this week as Celtic prepare for two more games. The Bhoys have endured a relentless schedule of late, with this week bringing a midweek fixture for the third straight week.

Next week will bring a fourth, but by this weekend, it will be seven games in just three weeks for Celtic, and O'Neill is going to have to be careful with some players.

The Bhoys beat Hibs over the weekend to continue their strong form in the league, and they face in-form Dundee United on Wednesday night, while a date with Falkirk awaits this weekend.

O'Neill is also going to have to keep in mind next week's clash with Besiktas, when their participation in the Europa League beyond the league phase will be on the line.

After an early start to the season, this Celtic squad has already clocked up plenty of miles, but there is more concern for some than others.

Kieran Tierney, who has a chequered injury past, has struggled to deal with such heavy schedules in the past, but credit to him, he has been a regular throughout this stretch so far. You do wonder whether he will be a starter on Wednesday night with that in mind, and if he is, he will surely be rested this weekend.

Callum Osmand is fresh back from injury and had to be withdrawn due to muscle cramping last week. He played over the weekend, but his minutes are still limited, and after back-to-back starts, he will need to be managed.

The same goes for Jota as he builds up his minutes, although having not yet started a game, he should be on the right track.

Spare a thought for young Colby Donovan, who has been racking up the miles on the right amid Alistair Johnston's absence through injury, which now looks set to continue. Donovan has already racked up 17 appearances, and he could be due a rest, with Jordan Lotomba ready to offer relief.

Elsewhere, Callum McGregor, who is 33 years of age, has made 16 appearances, which could be a concern at his age. Others of a younger age have a similar workload but should be able to manage it at least through Wednesday night, with rotation surely a must for O'Neill this weekend, especially if he wants to give his side the best chance of winning that Besiktas game.

The Bhoys have been relatively fortunate with injuries up to this point, but they are going to have to be careful from here, with this schedule not letting up just yet.
