It is safe to say that things are looking rosy for Brendan Rodgers at Celtic right now. He has outlasted another Rangers manager, with Philippe Clement being the latest to be shown the Ibrox exit door. But not too long ago, things were looking shaky for the Northern Irishman as well. If we look back about a year, the Hoops were and many felt that they were headed for a trophyless campaign.

Fortunately, it did not work out like that. Celtic were able to recover towards the end of the campaign and finished with a Premiership and Scottish Cup double.

One of the main reasons behind Celtic's struggles last season was their terrible summer transfer window. Barely any of those signings worked out in Glasgow.

Odin Thiago Holm was one such player who was brought in in the summer of 2023. He arrived amid high expectations and was dubbed the 'next Martin Odegaard' in his homeland. There were clips on social media of him pulling off remarkable skills and it looked like the Hoops had pulled off a major coup.

Fast forward a few months and Holm was out of first-team plans at Celtic. And he never really managed to get back into the frame.

Now, an article from FootballFanCast has urged Celtic to part with Holm in the summer transfer window later this year. There is one small issue though.

Holm is already out on loan at the moment at LAFC. His contract there is believed to run until the end of the year. So, it is hard to see how a summer exit would work out for the midfielder, unless there are some unforeseen circumstances that unfold between now and the end of the ongoing season. Let's see how things play out.
