The January transfer window is going to be an important one for Celtic. The fans have made their dissatisfaction known in recent weeks and it could be a good chance for the board to show some ambition and get the supporters back on their side. One of the easiest ways to do that would be to sign a quality striker.

Celtic have failed to replace both Kyogo and Adam Idah in recent transfer windows. Fortunately for them, the signing of Kelechi Iheanacho, who arrived as a free agent after the close of summer deadline day, seems to be working out in their favour.

That being said, Celtic are still short on options up front, especially with the future of Daizen Maeda in doubt. The Japanese forward admitted recently that he was keen to leave this summer. Lately, he has looked like a shell of the player that scored 33 goals across all competitions last season.

So, Celtic could definitely do with another quality striker. Adam Dickinson recently put out a January transfer prediction piece on 3 Added Minutes and the Hoops have been tipped to sign Jonas Wind for a fee in the region of £4 million.

Wind currently plays for Wolfsburg. His current deal with the Bundesliga club runs out next summer and so far, he has not started a single game this season, despite having a strong goalscoring record over the course of his career.

As a result, the belief is that he could be available for a bargain fee this winter. And if that is indeed the case then Celtic should definitely consider the idea of a move in January.

Someone like Wind could be brilliant competition for Iheanacho. He has a proven goalscoring record for both Wolfsburg and Copenhagen. He has also represented Denmark at the international level on 35 occasions. At 26 years of age, he is only going to get better.
